Six Flags Theme Park in New Orleans offers a variety of job options year round. Unlike theme parks further north, Six Flags this far in the South is open every season. The park has several stores that sell everything from T-shirts to toys to glassware to Cajun crafts. They also offer a water stunt show and children's shows, for those who like to entertain. In addition, look to one of the eateries in the park, such as Papa Russo's Pizza for position in customer service. Over 50,000 seasonal and 3,000 full-time employees work at Six Flags theme parks around the world. The New Orleans park is currently looking for "high-energy singers, dancer, and actors for six new shows" for their upcoming season. Do you love jazz music? Jazzland is now part of Six Flags, is divided into six areas, and each celebrates a different aspect of Louisiana culture. Kids can slide down the fiery slide out of the friendly dragon's mouth, play pirate on an authentic looking ship, attend the little red schoolhouse, or take some time to visit the old woman who lives in a shoe.
The Parks Department is in charge of Storyland. Jobs include people to conduct the rides, maintenance, and cleanup. "Staffed by local actors and actresses, delightful productions by Storyland Players are scheduled regularly at the Puppet Castle," according to their website. The park also offers private birthday parties and needs staff to host the birthdays. If you are a big kid at heart, you are probably already aware of the numerous fun things to do in New Orleans.
